Hello, Okay so insomnia or excitement strikes again and I'm awake so thought I would have a go at a travelogue. I have limited software capabilities however so will have to use email. "Livingston, 9.15am, and it's raining. Undefeated by Mother Nature and her un-holiday like weather, off I go to London (baby). |

Trains are actually quite high-tech now. The 11am from Edinburgh to Kings Cross had power points, Wi Fi and toilets. However, no food trolley because the person operating said food trolley got stuck in traffic and missed the train. We were reminded of this at every stop between Edinburgh and London and I think this person may have missed their last train if you get my drift...
Anyway, 1 Costa coffee, chocolate brownie, sandwich, fruit, banana cake, diet Coke and about 300 Tweets later, I arrived at Kings Cross. I have included a picture of Newcastle here for your viewing pleasure; this was taken after the chocolate brownie but before the sandwich. (Fascinating! BEFORE the sandwich you say! Wow! - Ed) |
| Editor's interjection: Some of the scaffolding at Kings Cross which I took before Karen arrived. This was literally yards from where I was parked. I include this because Karen expressed a desire to see lots of scaffolding. After all, I was shown quite a bit of it when I visited Scotland last November. | |

John / Joo Groo /Score_Cast / Snugglepop (delete as appropriate) met me at Kings Cross and gave me a delightful tour on the way to visit Penny; I saw 2 Starbucks, a Pizza Express, somewhere that was closed, the Tower of London (I was disappointed by it's lack of towerness), Tower Bridge, a petrol station and a fish market, but didn't see the Isle of Dogs because we went through a tunnel. |
On to see Penny and it turns out she is lovely, which I always thought anyway, but she is also 3-dimensional (which I hadn't appreciated before). Trevor was there too, and Bob (the cat). We all went out for a lovely Chinese meal (except Bob the cat) then returned to Penny's for coffee and to play with our iPhones. A great evening was had by all. Looking forward to Monday!" |

Above: Trevor and I, bored with the conversation, take refuge in our mobile phones. I was actually doing something important though. Below: @Score_Cast @KarenD37 @pennyessex |
